Our Coaches

Chris Graham

Chris is a Level 2 Netball Coach, PE Lead and Teacher in a local primary school, with a positive energy, enthusiasm and motivational style which she brings each week to the next generation of Clapham Netball Club members.

Having spent over 20 years as a client-side marketer with Shell, Starbucks, McDonald’s and The Daily Mail Group, Chris took the decision to coach sport & PE across a number of channels.  She founded Clapham Netball Club in 2020 and is passionate about delivering high quality netball for children, encouraging as many youngsters as she can to play netball.

When she’s not coaching at Clapham Netball Club, Chris delivers regular weekly coaching at Spencer and Aces Netball Clubs, in local schools, and is also the Wandsworth League Manager at Minis Netball League.

Chris believes no child should stand on the sideline, so Clapham Netball Club invests in Junior Coaches and Umpires alongside their players, giving members the chance to try all aspects of the beautiful game whilst they are ‘off court’.

Her Coaching Team are focused, and share her love for the development of delivering netball in the area.

Zoe

Zoe is known for making her sessions fun & flexible.  She is focused on developing each netballer to be the best that they can be.  As an elite player gaining her first international caps in Ireland’s U17 squad her game knowledge is exceptional and she understands the more complex drills that push our older netballers to perform at their best. Zoe has gained her Into Officiating & C award umpiring badges, as well as her Level 1 netball coaching qualification.  She is taking her Level 2 coaching certificate in 2026 when she turns 18 and is proud to be Clapham Netball’s lead Junior Coach.

Max

Max has been playing netball since he was at Honeywell JS, being the highest goal scorer in the Battersea Netball League and Wandsworth Schools’ netball tournament.  He has continued to play at London Giants, and has recently been selected for the England Men’s Trailblazers (U23 & U19 squads).  He has his Into Officiating umpiring award, is working towards his C award, and will be taking his Level 1 netball coaching qualification in 2025 when he turns 16.  He loves coaching at Clapham Netball, and at 6’1 makes quite an impact on court with our junior netballers…..when he’s not coaching or playing netball, he can be found on a hockey pitch!

Lily

Lily is the newest member of our Coaching Team, and combines patience with excellent netball knowledge.  Coming from a strong family background of Australian netballers, she works hard to encourage and motivate netballers during their match play.

Our Coaches

Clapham Netball is proud to support local netballers to qualify as coaches and umpires.  Our coaching team is supported weekly by Chris & Britt, our adult coaches, encouraging them to work on developing their skills and gain their coaching qualifications as they gain confidence with our junior netballers!

Thank you Chris, it was such fun session to watch. You’ve done so incredibly well with the girls, look how far they have come under your tuition. Thank you so much.

Wow – I’m loving this amazing netball organisation!!! Was also very happy to see that you were taking netball club after school – Ella loved it – thank you!

Thank you so much for your support with the netball sessions and making them so much better than I would ever have done. If you would like to help out again next year, please let me know. I’d love your help.

Eliza was so excited about trialling, it is a brilliant opportunity you offer the kids. Thanks again.

Alex really enjoyed netball today.  Thanks for arranging it. She’s already looking forward to next week! At bedtime she was chatting very enthusiastically about what she’d learnt today.

Thank you very much for all the work you have done to get so many children playing netball – it’s a real bonus for them.

My son has never really taken to ball sports very much, but he really does love your club. It shows how well you must run it.

A massive thank you to you for organising everything and for all your time and continued support. It is hugely appreciated.

Kit will be so happy!!! Thank you very much for giving him this amazing opportunity. Kit is so into his sports and it is lovely that they are able to get involved at school. It is also great that so many boys are getting involved too. Thank you so much for giving up all your time to train them, and for putting in so much effort and hard work into sport at Honeywell – you are a total star!

Finn has been on tenterhooks waiting to find out. He really enjoyed trials, and has put himself down for Netball after school club. He will be very pleased.

Thank you very much again for coaching them. Zoe loves her netball mornings.

Finn is beside himself with joy!!! I just rang him to tell him. He is totally thrilled – thank you!
